You can throw a rock from Harpoon and hit NH so I'd say close enough.

I realize that you're looking for NH, but if you're willing to make a day of it there are quite a few more in VT that you can hit up. Harpoon (already mentioned many times), Long Trail (we enjoyed the food the one time we were there), the Norwich Inn (beer brewed on site), Otter Creek (getting pretty far from NH here, though)... There are quite a few. If you're going to ski VT you may be hitting up Stowe, The Alchemist Pub and Brew is in that area.

1.) At the seacoast, Portsmouth Brewery is where we go (& they have Sierra Neveda seasonal's on tap from time to time-which is rare on the east)

2.)At the mountains, Woodstock Inn is the place for us

Favorite NH Breweries

I think my favorites for NH would have to be Tuckerman's and Moat Mountain (you're not likely to find Moat growlers too far from North Conway, though!)

The gent's name is Michael Fairbrother. He's won several awards for his mead in competitions. I've done a couple tastings and everything has been great. I'm hoping to make it over to his new place in Londonderry soon.

Red Hook on the old Pease AFB site is pretty good. I'm sure it has already been mentioned.

Smuttynose of course

And I'll add another vote for Harpoon - IMHO they are the cream of the crop.

I haven't been to a NH brewery besides Anheuser-Busch and Martha's Exchange, although I have tried many NH brews. Every now and then I like to buy a six pack of Tuckerman Brewing Company Ale.
