Story Land is great for little ones (not in winter though) and is close to Mt Washington and North Conway. It is in the White Mountains. In North Conway there is the dinner train that is scenic and they serve a delicious meal

The White Mtn area is the best place in the state for a vacation. They have quarries, camping, zip lining hiking, and biking. Taking a train up mount washington is a cool experience.

Rent a local home in a community with a pond or lake, in the summer you could enjoy swimming and grilling out, or you could ski in the winter
