Cricket Hill Brewery in Fairfield has fun 'Tours' every Friday. The guy who owns the place give a great speech and you get plenty to taste. I especially recommend the Colonel Blides Ale

I second the Friday "tours" at Cricket Hill. Great atmosphere and you have to hear the owner speak at least once in your life.

The Cricket Hill "tour" was a good time.

If you go to River Horse on a non brew day they let you have a self guided tour. That was pretty cool, just getting to wander around the brewery unsupervised. Next time I want to check it out when the magic is happening though.

breweries in NJ

Yeah-
Flying Fish is great. I have heard that Iron Hill Brewery was good, but haven't been there yet. I'd have to say that my favorite is Dog Fish Head brewing which is actually down in Delaware (its almost in NJ!). Their 90 min IIPA is the best pale ale ever IMHO. Its the golden age of brewing. Just wish the economy would pick up so I could buy more beer!

Yeah, Dogfish Head IPA is great. Luckily, I like FlyingFish Hopfish 60 Minute IPA even better. I just got a six yesterday for Thanksgiving.

I was at the Cricket Hill open house last friday with my wife. Great time. Tried the four beers they were serving - the Jersey Summer was my favorite. We had to leave before the owner gave his speech, so I plan to go back when I'm not pressed to leave.
