I have been here for about 3 years and have been wondering this same thing every time I hear people say north and south jersey but, no one has ever said where the dividing line is. This is pretty funny reading. But, it seems like from I'm reading, is that the line is somewhere between 195, trenton and Mount Laurel areas. So, I'm still in limbo

Growing up in Central Jersey, and now living in West Jersey, Trenton - Rt 295 has been the line for me.

I live 7 miles from Trenton. I've always considered that the dividing line myself.

If you are sitting in the lunch room at work, and you say "I'm taking my wife into the city tonight for dinner," does everyone assume you are going to New York - if so, you are in North Jersey. If people assume you are going into Philadelphia, you are in South Jersey.
