Elephant Butte trails

Greetings from Arizona!

Friends and I are going on our annual trip to Elephant Butte in August. This is the first time I will have my jeep!! We spend a majority of time on the lake, like everyone else, but this time I want to try and hit a couple nearby trails. Nothing really difficult as the jeep will be our primary transportation for 4 days. Any suggestions? Google suggests the Geronimo trail byway, but I don't want to take more 4-5 hours of the day away.
