Great wheelin, beautiful outdoors, green or red, sunsets that warm the soul, plenty of geocaching if that is your thing, rattlesnake museum, etc.

I really could go on for quite awhile.

If you want to go rock crawling out near Farmington there are some very challenging trails.

We spent almost two weeks in New Mexico last summer. Such a beautiful state and such nice people. We visited Roswell, Carlsbad, White Sands, Santa Fe, Petrogliph Monument, and several ghost towns. Can't wait to go back ( maybe in the cooler season though)

I'm partial to the northern half of the state where I grew up, although there are some decent wilderness areas throughout. Love to visit, would probably not jump through any hoops to move back there though Taos was mentioned earlier for skiing(no boarding there), also rafting but you gotta catch the right season or the river is too low. Some good modest mountain climbs and other nice hikes/bike rides if you're into that sort of thing.

I don't blame you at all for that. I would have never moved back here except for the fact that my son lives here, and my daughter and her family lives here.

Not true. Taos Ski Valley started allowed boarding 3 seasons ago.

Visit!!

I could name dozens of reasons i've found since i moved here last year.

-The food is amazing, i had never really liked Mexican food till i moved here, but now i can't get enough of it!!
- The senery is amazing!! everything from stark deserts and plateus to rich forests and mountains.

There are great places to visit!

-Madrid, a quaint little town nestled in the Sandia Mountains where part of the movie WildHogs was filmed.
-Carlsbad Caverns, Whitesands, the Four corners, Jemez Mountains
