I recently moved to New Orleans from out west and would like suggestions/reviews on places to eat on the west bank. i currently live in the algiers area. thanks

Olive Branch Cafe (degaulle), Aunt Leni's (Verret?), Alligator Pear (Manhattan) when the weather is good, Adam's Catfish (in Belle Chasse).

Olive Branch is and very good, and an outstanding upscale restaurant is O'Briens. Great steaks.

O'Briens is like some 50s diner now, O'Briens Diner or something. Don't know if they still have steak. Newski, where have you eaten at yet? anything noteworthy to suggest?
