I know Ithaca. You can go into their shop (?) and taste and get the tour. It is really small but it is fun. It is good beer and they will explain each one to you. Also there is like a beer of the week so that one is cheaper to be filled in the growler.

Try Elmira Brewing Co's "Hot Jala-heim" beer. Brewed with jalapeno and anaheim peppers. good bite, not too much heat.

Watkins Glen has Roosterfish brewing. Hop Warrior is pricey but very very good.

Also, Fingerlake Distilling. Glen Thunder Whisky, very similar to moonshine.

Saranac & Lake Placid Brewery. A little further away, but for my money you can't get a better pale ale than Saranac, and I like my ale. A little further north and you can stop and sample my homebrew!

Does JW Dundee's count? They have an IPA, but I'll never stray from their HoneyBrown.

Southern Tier! Their Gemini IPA is awesome. Some of the 22oz'ers can be a little pricy though, so beware.

Not sure how close you are to Troegs in PA, but they make one of my top 3 IPA's.. Nugget Nectar. I can't wait until they release that stuff at the beginning of next year. It is a hop punch in the face.
