Ithaca Beer Co does have an IPA, called Flower Power. It is not my favorite IPA, nor my favorite beer they brew, so I would suggest checking out their other beers, in particular their Excelsior! series of premium brews.

I will double and triple +1 on the Ithaca, SouTier, Ommegang (and RoosterFish HopWarrior the rest is meh).

I live near Ithaca. I have always meant to but have not yet made it to the brewery. I hear it is great cause they give you free beer (tastings).

Love their Cascazilla.

Love Ommegangs Abbey Ale.
Love Southern Tier's Creme Brulee Stout and Unearthly Oak Aged IPA.

Not sure how close you are to Troegs in PA, but they make one of my top 3 IPA's.. Nugget Nectar. I can't wait until they release that stuff at the beginning of next year. It is a hop punch in the face.
Troegs is about 4 hours away in Harrisburg. Awesome beers.

We have a great climate for hops. I started growing them this year. This was a prime hop growing area back in the day. I've had the old timers tell me you can still find an old drying barn if you know what to look for. Go for it!

If you like hops, try Ithaca Brewery's Caskazilla. Good stuff

Has anyone got any news on the new fingerlakes breweries? I heard rumors of a few brand new ones.

The only new one I can think of is Naked Dove in Canandaguia. Naked Dove Brewing Company, Canandaigua, NY
The owner has some good boned having worked with Rohrbachs and Custom brewcrafters. Haven't tried anything from them though.
