Well, I didn't fall asleep..

Real short night, about an hour, just paperwork and introductions.. It's gonna be at least 5 classes before I can respond to calls but we will be meeting twice a week so that will go quick. In the mean time I can respond to the firehouse and at least sign in with my kid.. I'm no longer chomping at the bit, starting the process feels a bunch better,

Oh yeah, I got a key and an invite to the Christmas party next week

I have been a volunteer fireman for 16 years now........highway rescue unit also.....and a captain for search and rescue, all 3 as a volunteer though, not paid positions.

No aplogoies needed Brother. As to being Vollie, I'm as well for over 20yrs now. I currently Captain where I am. And being a Vollie house we cover everything except medical.

Just wanted to thank all firefighters for your very dangerous work and being their for us! Here's a video, approx. 9 minutes long, I uploaded to YouTube.com that you can use for your training.....I think it will be very self explaining......I took it from across the street in my neighborhood.....at the end, I pull the scene back to where I was standing so you can visualize how far I was away but that I was very apprehensive during this incident....a golf cart on fire and how they were going about putting it out.....as I mentioned, it should be a good training film for new firefighters.....thanks again!!

Thanks for posting. There's things my dept. would do different for that, but hindsight is always 20/20. You never know how it will go until you get there.
