Pokeman, with gas being over $3 bucks at the pump I hope that does not bite ya in the butt. I have oil heat at my house and use my wood stove to help off set the the cost of heating oil. Our local oil company has a deal where we lock in the price for oil and service. So far it's help us every year by either not paying out the nose for oil or service calls. I start burning the stove 24/7 right after Thanksgiving. We go through about 4 1/2 cords. If I replace the damn windows I bet it would help. Now if I could find that pot of gold.....
I picked up our new pellet stove today. Also bought well a whole pallet of pellets from Lowe's. They are on sale for $2.89 a bag down from a regular $4.89, I used a 10% off coupon on top of that..
Wood pile is set, just tuned upthe snowblower and generator, but after that late winter storm last march, power out for 5 days....not ready for that again. Although it was fun cooking breakfast on the old potbelly!

Chimney liner goes in tomorrow, DIY apparently..
At the end of the season last year they sent out a coupon that all pellet stove sales at Lowes would include a free pallet of pellets. Oh well.
As for myself, about to look up snowboards. There is gas in the Jeep, jumper cables. I have to put on new wipers and put in the brush, and other things like my chain. I can't wait.... so excited
Just went snowboarding for the first time of the season. I am excited that we have more winter left. It hasn't even snowed hard here yet. We got 2-3" when I was in Binghamton though.
