North Carolina Beach or Mountains?

I grew up in Catawba County, less than an hour from Blowing Rock. Now I live 10 minutes from Wrightsville Beach. Just curious which side Carolinian's like the most...
I know after living at the coast for 6 months I REALLY miss the mountains and lush trees......But the beach is great come spring!

I live in between both. 2.5 hours or less from coast and 3-5 hours from mountains.

Wish the ocean butted right up against the mountains!

Both have appeal

I like mountains for camping, but for scuba diving gotta go to the blue water.

Hard to choose, I like the mountains more though. Beach is a nice place to go and party for a while, mountains is a great place to relax and retire!
Lake Lure and Figure 8 Island, cant beat em.

Ah man, I've lived at the beach for more than four years, about 10 minutes from three of them. My girlfriend is crazy about the beach, but I'm more of a mountain person. I'm into hiking; sitting on a chair and relaxing at the beach just winds me up. Lucky we've got some of the world's finest mountains and beaches and don't have to drive far for either.

The beach is the place for me. I can be up the mountain in 10 minutes from my house and be on the blue ridge parkway. It's nice but I still like the waves on the beach.
