Northern Virginia Restaurants

Hey guys from NOVA, if you want a sub-forum created for us northern-VA peoples, send a request with the city listed as "Northern Virginia".

I figure there are so many little micro-"cities" here that just calling it NOVA would encompass everything from Fairfax, Alexandria, Sterling, and the ever entangling Centreville/Chantilly complex.

Also, anyone have any good recommendations for fancy restaurants around NOVA? My 1-year wedding anniversary is coming up soon and I'm out of ideas for nice places to go

Restaurants

Reston Town Center has Morton's (a decent steakhouse), McKormick and Schmidts and the American Tap Room.
The Palm in Tyson's is also very nice.

We moved about an hour south 4 years ago, so I haven't been to these places in a while, but they were all good.

If you don't mind a little drive, there is a little restaurant in Fredericksburg called Tru Love that I LOVE. We have gone there for our past 2 anniversary dinners and have not been dissappointed.

Sorry, I spelled it wrong. TruLuv's is located at 1101 Sophia Street in Fredericksburg. Their website is TruLuv's - A Modern American Bistro | 1101 Sophia Street Fredericksburg, VA 22401 (540) 373-6500

Gonna keep all these in mind next time I need somewhere fancy.

Someone recommended a place down in Georgetown. The scenery was fantastic, but the service was slow! Like, really really slow. Needless to say, won't be going back!

Thanks for the input - I hope everyone is requesting a Northern Virginia Sub-Forum!

Our favorite is Nora's in Gainesville. It is Leabonese food. My wife wanted to try it, I wasn't too keen on the idea, but I am glad I did! The food is awesome. The only problem is that I eat too much... Not too expensive either.

Also, there is a belly-dancer on Fridays and Saturdays.

I agree, a NOVA sub-section would be great to have.

There are tons of restaurants in NOVA.

I love Logans Steak House out in Manassas! It's one of those places where you eat your peanuts and then throw them on the floor when your done haha.
