Wow guys, thanks for all the replies. Never knew that my request for a NOVA section would actually cause it to happen!
The anniversary was in October - we ended up going out to a place recommended by a friend...It was in DC and on the river - had a spectacular view...and HORRIBLE service. It may have been that they were expecting a huge party in one of the other rooms, but the staff didn't know the menu, the sommolier didn't know which wines they did/didn't have in stock, the food came out cold and overcooked...
But we still had a great time. We walked along the river after dinner and through Georgetown, and really enjoyed the pleasant cool autumn air.
Then a week later we went to Filomena for a friend's birthday, also in Georgetown. That is a darn good place!!! Best italian I may have ever had!
