I worked as funeral director for a while and there are a few discount coffin places. The only catch is most won't deliver,, which means you have to go pick it up and load it into the back of your truck. Want to get some weird looks? Haul a casket around.

My Dad always tells people who didn't ask about the importance of preneed. He doesn't have one. It get's weird. He'll tell "funny" stories that I'm sure his Funeral Director friends think are funny, but most of my friends think they are just morbid.
