...and just as it got dark it started to hail. Then it rained. Then we got wet snow. The fog machines worked great in this weather, but the turn-out of trick-or-treaters wasn't too hot. Maybe about 45-50 kids.
I feel like an old grump because we shut off all the lights in the front, closed the blinds, and we didn't have one kid ringing our doorbell. No dogs barking, no getting up from the couch every 5 minutes, and no sore knees from the up and down motion.
It just wasn't the same though, so I decided next year I will be handing out some great candy to make up for me being bad this year!
I went to practice semi-hungover, but we always kinda look like we are dressed up for something so it was fun. Then I took my nephew trick or treating with my friend and her kids.

Next year, give out whole candy bars. That's the only solution.
