Swimming the rapids in spring because most of the rocks were well covered in frigid runoff.

This was before the days of protective gear and white water rafting

We used to have massive wrestling matches in the front yard. I guess nowadays that's gang violence?

Awesome! I had almost the same thing happen. In our old Jeep Cherokee, we would stand on the hump between the two front seats just holding on to the seats. Once, my mom slammed on the brakes so hard for a red light that I went flying and broke the CB off of its mounts with my head. I was unharmed fortunately.

I never wore a helmet while biking,of coarse such a thing wasn't intented when I was a kid. And if some one did wear one they would have unmerceifully been harassed. When playing tag I used to hide on a garage roof that was two stories high. When the person that was it would go past i would jump off and go touch the goal. We used to always play takle football on a paved street with no equipment.

As a child I would sit out back with a knife and whittle sticks into stabbing implements. No reason, immediately after the point was sufficient I would go onto the next.

I've had a pocket knife for as long as I can remember.
