Never tried it myself.
I experimented with a few things briefly when I was young though.
Only bad thing i tired, i never wanted to do again was a hit of acid.
OMG that was horrible.
I was messed up really badly, and not in a good way.
have to say i kind of enjoyed hot knifing shrooms, or smoking a doobie on occasion though.
Never did it a lot, but maybe one weekend a month from about age 15 to 22, haven't touched anything since.

I had a thought the other day watching another young person in court for meth. I'm sure there are kids out there who either can't grasp or weren't told how completely it enslaves you.

You had a pretty common experience with some experimenting but you avoided the more dangerous options. Never touched coke in any form or meth and I never will because I know the harm.

You didn't like acid so you stopped. This is called sanity. I tried a hallucinatory once but 6 hours of cramps followed so it was never repeated. Meth and crack aren't always so forgiving and I don't think parents know the facts well enough to educate their kids.

Read up a bit and when the chance arises talk honestly and often with them.
