Today, April 3, is the 40th anniversary of the Super Outbreak series of tornadoes across the United States and Canada in 1974. Here in Cincinnati, we have unfortunately had many tornadoes. But there is only one Tornado with a capital T. I live in Sayler Park and even now, four decades later, if you know what to look for, you can tell the neighborhood has never fully recovered from the storm.
A series of older homes, then late 70s bi-levels, then older homes, then 70s ranches. Houses where the first and second floors don't match in construction. Unexplained empty lots along a street with huge houses.
