Cheeeeeeerrrrrsssss boys !!!

Cheers Boys!
This evening I prepare a special salad for me, we call it ?Snejanka?, or ?Yogurt salad?. Products are on the photo: Yogurt without any water in it, cucumbers from glass (my production), garlic ? as much as you like, a little salt and oil. Dill (Fennel ?) is very nice in it, but I have not of it because of the season.

Fennel and dill are different.

We call the cucumbers from glass pickles, and your dinner looks delicious.

What kind of sausage is that? What makes it special?

Ah yes … I see in my dictionary … fennel is Foeniculum vulgare, dill is Anethum graveolens … but in both cases it is translated by one our word only… I do not know what is the exact English word.
The sausage is typical for our region. Contains peaces of beef and pork and seasoning, I do not know what exactly. It is dried and hard. It has to be cut in thin slices by a sharp knife. In the dictionary it is called “flat sausage”, but I do not know what would you mean saying it … it is expensive … a kilo of it here is USA$18 -22 (a kilo of meet is USA $4 – 8) … foreigners love it very much …

Sounds like real dry cured meat to me. It's sort of like beef jerky, but much more juicy and made the old fashioned way without a lot of artificial preservatives.

We have many many varieties available up here due to the huge ethnic population. It's delicious and extremely nutritious and does well without a cooler.

I always take some when I go on a little trip in the woods.

After 5 pm I do not eat bread. The salad and drink – after 8 pm but no any bread. Your description and photo of sausage is correct. We only mix in it beef and pork in proportion 1:1. It really need not a fridge.

So, are those pickles (cucumbers) sweet or dill? I also second wanting to see some fresh baked bread. Hell, if we are eating, lets have a feast!

There is almost nothing better than home made dill pickles!
I love them and my wife makes some of the best on the planet with the mini cucumbers we grow in our garden every year.
