Are you Left Handed?

I am. In another thread I was talking about how horrible pencils are for us.

If you're lefty post up those everyday things thatmake your life a little more complicated.

Obviously pencils and pens.

Right handed ledgers.

Right handed rifles (I can't even try them, I get burned by ejected casings).

Knives (That's correct, the edge on your kitchen knife was ground for righties).

Everything I have to buy for lefties costs twice as much.

I hate trying to write in a notebook which is always designed for right handers.

I have a bank ledger I have to take the sheet out of in order to write anything in.

I saw some lefty ledgers once, should have bought the case but did not.

I know you're building and AR right now, have you found all the components to make it left handed or do you shoot right?

I fish right. Spent the money on a pole and never used it, felt wrong.

I shoot right, but did purchase a ambidextrous charging bar, so I can "rack" it from either side.

My dad, who lived for golf, bought me one of those universal golf clubs, where you adjust the pitch of the blade with a key similar to a chuck key for a drill. He once told me, "If you want my left over clubs, I suggest you learn how to golf right-handed." Due to this, I now golf right handed, but bat (similar motion) left handed. Strange....

I bat switch, golf left (I tried right can't get the follow through down).

My Wife is ambidextrous and our daughter is a righty. It's been interesting teaching her things.

I've tried shooting right but I cant get it down yet.

The damned butter knife at family dinners.
Spiral and 3 ring notebooks.
Of course pencils/pens that smudge when you are writing and dragging your hand

One thing I DO dig about being a lefty is I still cut with my right hand. (Eating) Its funny to watch right handers switch their fork to the left hand (and back) so they can cut up their food. I think back in the day, a lefty was the one who set the standard for table settings. Fork(s) (and important meal utensils) are on the left hand side.

Awesomeness in a pseudo passive-aggressive kind of way

I switch back and forth with forks and knives.

That brings up another thing. I hate sitting next to righties as much as they hate sitting next to me at dinner time. It does mean I get my choice of chairs though.

Kudos for that comment alone.

There is something to be said about having a reserved seat at the head of the table cause you are a southpaw

Unfortunately, around my parts, sitting at the head of the table also means picking up the check. Big table = big check = empty wallet!
