I am a life member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association, even though I haven't shot for quite some time. That has been primarily due to the loss of my shooting partner, my father-in-law. He got me interested in trap, got me shooting competitively, and his first trap gun, was my first trap gun. I was really disappointed when the Grand American moved from Vandalia.

I am slowly but surely getting the guns and gear together for some cowboy action shooting. Just need a shotgun, pistol belt and hat, along with the small items that I haven't thought of.

I also shoot just for the fun of it any chance I get.

How do you like the 10/22? I have been thinking about picking one up.

I really like the 10/22. Can't beat it for the price. There are a lot of options on the market as it has been around for a while now. I have been looking at red dot sights for it.

Cool! Yeah, I have heard they are extremely easy to mod, and that they are accurate, but I don't know anyone personally who owns one. I have a Browning pump .22, and brother and father both have Marlin 60s. I like my Ruger Mini 14, though, so I see no reason not to give one a try.

I have a 10/22 that I customized myself. Machined the action to make it a quick release, trigger job, Green Mountain Bull Barrel, thumbhole stock. Dont shoot comp tho, just tinker.
