Road trip Youngstown to Chicago

I'll be making a roadtrip next summer and would like to know if there's any worthwhile attractions to see while travelling through the northern portion of Ohio?

Thank you for the help.

I'd visit the Chrysler plant in Toledo where Jeeps are made.

That's an awesome idea! I was thinking about stopping before that in Butler, PA just to get a picture by the "Jeep" sign near the old American Bantam plant. It's sort of out-of-the-way, so I'm not sure that would be worth it. But a factory tour of the Jeep plant sounds cool. Have you done that before?

I have not done it. I've done plant tours at the Corvette plant and the Mitsubishi plant in Illinois. They are very interesting. The Corvette plant does them all the time. The Mitsu was for a special event.

I did a search online, but it sounds like the Jeep plant was torn down and they no longer do tours since they've moved to the new place.

I'm surprised with an iconic vehicle like the Wrangler they wouldn't have tours set up. That's a bummer.

I thought the same thing. I would definetly take the time to see a Jeep being made.

I did a tour last spring of the plant here in Toledo
Hard, no very hard to get in, have to know the right people.
I know my friend from Spain wanted to tour it, and up until about the last day we still were not sure they would let us. there was a larger group went through a few weeks afterwards I know.
It can be done, but ...don't expect to drive up and say I want to go through the plant today
Leaving the plant and then standing at the end of the line, you were not allowed to take pictures inside but will take yours at the end of the line!

Do you have any contact numbers for getting a tour? I didn't see anything on the internet.
