Check out Grove area. Har-Ber village is a very unusual museum. Last time I was there it was still free, not sure if it still is or not. Harvey and Bernice Jones had it built in the late 60's and early 70's. Harvey had a trucking company in Springdale Ar. and when he heard of any old historical buildings that were going to be torn down or destroyed in any way he would have them moved over there and restored to there former glory. It is a complete village museum. It sits right on the lake.
If you like guns, Oklahoma has some great gun shows in the fall. Without a doubt you have to see the Wanenmacher's Tulsa Arms Show. It's billed as the world's largest gun show, and it's got over 4100 tables. I've been saving my money for 3 months just in preparation for it
If you are into drag racing there is a very nice track in Tulsa! 5 star track! If you are looking for some good mountains the Kiamichis are the place! as stated above Downtown Oklahoma city has a very good night life and plus you can go to the Ford Center and support the Oklahoma City Thunder!
Woolaroc Ranch and the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve are two good reasons to visit. Also Kenton in the panhandle, for the Okie-Tex Star Party each year in October, for the stargazers amongst us.
I live about 5 miles from Eufaula on Twin Mountian. It's 1/2 mile from Lake Eufaula with about 746 miles of shoreline and numerous islands. There is
corps land all around the lake with some of the best public deer and turkey hunting there is anywhere. Lake Eufaula also has excellent crappie fishing.
If you have a little time, you'll have a great time.
