Upon returning from a trip from Illinois, I35 was shut down at the Oklahoma/Texas line (Red River). We where stopped on the bridge and I got out of our car to have a smoke. Two young guys, in the car next to us, asked "Sir do you know why we are stopped?". I looked at him, with a straight face, and said "Texas is full and we are waiting for some to come out." He just looked at me with the deer in the headlights stare!!

DO NOT come to tulsa,ok in a nice vehicle the streets here will tear your undercarrige out of your car, the whole town is a mortar crater field. and will blow out a tire with no problem whatsoever, our mayor and city council are a bunch of immature bickering little nancys. just my 2cents.

Tulsa Road Conditions

I left Tulsa, almost 25 years ago, and the roads sucked then, also. Although, I bet that could count as an excellent reason to go 4-wheelin!

I am originally from Texas and I have been here for over 12 years and I got nothing!! Unless you are in OKC and can drive to Dallas or somewhere where actual events take place then your screwed!! And the further north you drive such as Tulsa there isn't squat!

He shouldn't have downgraded my hometown" maybee i would have been nicer. theres lots to do in TULSA,OK you just have to know where to go. true it's nothing like DALLAS nowhere close, or KALIFORNIA but it's my hometown and i'm sticking up for it!
