Beachwood BBQ has a great beer selection and a hop cam that updates every 15 mins so you can look online to see what they are pouring.

I also like Hollingshead in Orange for some good Micros.

I'm a big fan of Oggi's. There are a few of them in Orange County and their beer is top quality, especially their black magic stout. The food they have is also excellent. They are known well in San Diego. There is one in Lake Forest, Orange, and Tustin.

I wasnt overly impressed with Oggi's beer or food. I live down the street from the one in Tustin but i've also been to the one in Corona. Just didnt hit. The IPA was decent, every other brew they did seemed to fall short. The food was just ok as well. I think something happens to quality when you start expanding all over. I don't know, to each their own.
The Bruery and Bootleggers are the only local breweries I know of in Orange County that are doing high quality, eclectic brews and have dedicated tasting rooms and clientele.
Anybody know of others?

agree, Tustin Brewing is out of this world delicious food with a great beer selection. They've recently been upgrading the taps and keep quality micro's rotating. I hear there's a new brewmaster and apparently he's ontop of his stuff. Last I was there Pliny was on tap, as well as a couple Brue's.
Great spot.

another vote for Beachwood in Seal Beach. Great selection. It's not much to look at inside, but the food and beer selection is great.

Thank for this! I live close and was not aware of The Bruery.

The Bruery in either Placentia or Orange is my fav. I used to work with Mrs. Rue. Good people. Bootleggers in Fullerton is good, too. And not exactly a pub (mostly retail beer with a food counter - family-run and very knowledgable staff and great selection), but Hollingshead on Main St. in Orange is a great place.

I gotta say, the provisions shop from the bruery is awesome! The cheese selection is great, and they always have something rare that you can get a taster of. Planning to go to bootleggers this week, ill update y all afterwards.
