Remeber when Lake Forest used to be El Toro?

And there wasn't so many darn people here. It takes me 30 friggin minutes to get from RSM to Foothill Ranch, on Santa Margarita Pkwy. Rediculous.

Or when the movie theaters across from THHS were still there.. Charging $3.75 a movie I might add.

Anyone else from the big ET?

I use to love watching the jets take off from the base when leaving Laguna Beach!

Right Havasu, I miss the roar of the F-4s. The F-18s were much quieter.

The Great Park preview is a great way to see portions of the old base. Go on the balloon ride, and bring a big lens!

I remember when there was no RSM (of any meaningful size) to be stuck in...

lake forest was planted for the railroad but when the guy poking the trees for ties came along he said you planted the wrong trees . those euc's are too soft for anything more than fireworks. years later they cut the roads and planed homes instead.
