McMinnville for the best Pinot Noir this side of France. Stop in at Stone Wolf to sample their fine and affordable wines, and be sure to tell Linda and Jessica that Robert said hello.
And the Spruce Goose at the Evergreen Air & Space Museum. Reason enough to plan a trip.

No one mentioned apples, found some arkansas blacks on an old orchard way out in the sticks, was scouting some old places from my boyhood where we hunted and fished the creek, the old homestead had not changed much, the best part is that the apples from all the trees were of the most incredible flavor!! I'll be driving the 180mi next year too, just for the apples..

We have great local coffee roasters as well as Beer and if you've never been to the Oregon Coast then you've never been to the real Coast.

It still is more per capita than California?

http://www.brewersassociation.org/at...ies_percap.pdf per this 2008 data from the Brewers Association .
Oh no, CA is #21! Oh well, after the election you'll be #1 on the Micro-Pot Farm list.

Summers are moderately warm in the Willamette Valley, but southern and eastern Oregon can get down right hot! I've been in Redmond, when its been over 110!

Don't think anyone has mentioned the Pendleton Roundup yet either.

Portland has the most strip clubs per capita. Bend has more breweries per capita than Portland now.

It might have been mentioned already but there is some great beer here.

If you want to do it its available here; skiing, biking, the beach, gardens, beer and brewing, wines
