Night shot is Salem by the Willamette River
Crater Lake can be reached by snowmobile in Winter but I believe it has to be arranged in advance.

ONE good reason???

I would definitely say Crater Lake is one of the coolest and most breath taking things I have ever seen. However, it is a bit out of the way from everything else. Silver Falls is also awesome and it's not far from I-5.

In Eugene, home of the mighty Ducks, you are within an hour of a romantic coast to explore, and hour from wonderful mountains to discover, you are on two amazing rivers to float. The people are genuine and kind. And, of course, there are so many great breweries to drink from that you will have to come back again and again for many years. You may even want to move hear forever!

The Coast is only romantic if you have a nice warm room with a fireplace where you can look at the storms rolling in out of the gulf of Alaska while drinking a bottle of California wine or sharing a bottle of Pelican's Storm Watcher!!

Great place to visit in winter...Pacific City and Pelican Pub and Brewery!

More Strip Clubs per capita in Portland Oregon than any other city in the US. (This is no longer actually true, but it makes a good reason to visit...plus some of the PDX clubs are really seedy and gross which is cooler/grosser depending on your depravity).

I have been to most in PDX and you are right, a lot of them are quite seedy and I love it!!!!

I have lived in different states and travelled to many more, all states have some good some bad. Oregon has a lot of good stuff so it would have to be based on what a person likes.

One drawback to Oregon/Portland is the lack of Broadway type shows and ballet/opera type entertainment. They are here but not a lot of it for the size of Portland anyway.

You have to come here to see for yourself, Oregon is a great state!
