Don't miss seeing the Oregon sand dunes just over the North bend bridge going north on hwy 101.
About fifty miles of dunes along the Pacific Ocean, all set aside for some form of public use. Including 4x4s Jeeps, quads, cycles, three wheelers, buggies, sand rails etc.- Places also set aside for horses and riders only. Other categories are also included.

For the "fat girls"?

While Portland has a bit of everything I'm afraid Salem is mostly an ad for women lumberjacks. The slim types named made it over the mountains. <sigh>

"We drive slower than Cali's"

It's true, i thought I'd lose my mind the first month here. people were driving *under* the limit, no one flipped me a bird for my noob transgressions. once in Salem I asked if I'd have a problem with a rush hour appointment. That drew laughter and an assurance that rush hour didn't really exist here.

Oregon is absolutely beautiful, especially Southern Oregon. Weve got several wild and scenic rivers for fishing, rafting. great hunting, as well as a wide veriety of excellent restaurants and bars. what more do you need?
