Orlando Homebrewing clubs?

I have seen a few things online about Orlando homebrewing clubs. Are any of the clubs still active? Most of the pages I found looked a little... stale. The only one that seems active is Central Florida Homebrewers. Has anyone been to a meeting? What can I expect?

I'd like to hear of brewclubs in Central Florida as well. Would love to get in on a group buy on some whole grains to save on shipping.

Regards

I've been in the Central Florida Home Brewers for two years.

Meetings are the first Sunday of every month at Rossi's Pizza in Orlando.
First a beer school, followed by a meeting, ending in a raffle.
We have a 6 tap jockey box for people to bring kegs in to share, people bring bottles.

The club is really into competitions.

Any questions.... ask away.

I know guy who was looking to start a UCF area club which would be perfect for me.

Membership is $20 a year, but everyone is more than welcome to come out and see what you think.

Indeed the CFHB club is very active, and there are LOTS of members with a lot of good knowledge to share. As Plan9 said, meetings are the first Sunday at Rossi's Pizza, 5919 S. OBT, Orlando, FL 32809

Beer school starts at 3:00 and ranges from topics like water chemistry, grain bills, and adjuncts to stewarding for competitions. The general meeting starts at 4:15pm and goes to about 6:00.
