I'm not sure what the area is called, or how far you're willing to travel, but often when I drive to Phoenix from Lake Havasu on I-10, I noticed a huge wash about 30 minutes south of Phoenix that seems to be pretty popular area for Quads and Sand Cars... I wish I could remember the name of the wash to be more helpful...

I lived in PHX, I'd travel to it...

There are lots of places on the east side. I see lots of quads and atvs out in the Florence area when I'm out with my Jeep.

Don't forget 4 peaks area, cinders in flagstaff, dunes near yuma!

I roll a 4wd utility quad towed by my jeep cherokee with a 14 foot trailer. I dont like to go too far
