Nice pics, I want to go over there in the east someday. I've never been east of Austin, TX. The offramp there with Fredericksberg, there was a major battle there in the Civil War. I 'ld like to go see that battlefield. I like stuff like that. The feds lost that battle
You would love Quebec City HiHood. I suspect teaberry has been there.
I take the occasional picture, but I mostly travel the byways, not the highways

I'm sorry not to have been to Quebec, I know it is beautiful there.....I did fly into Montreal on my way to St. John's, Newfoundland while serving in the Air Force at Pepperrell AF Base (Torbay Airport where I worked)....just a stopover but didn't get to spent any time there.....I did love St. John's though...and the "byways" is the only way to travel......your photos are great...I know I'd love to see areas such as those......

I live in the Richmond area and, of course, lots of battles were fought around here.......we have battlefield parks here where you can view trenches and gun emplacements, etc. and several museums......just North of Fredricksburg is Manassas and they have a battlefield there where you can visit and of course you can view Gettysburg coming or going......where I lived in West Virginia, there was a major battle fought there, "Battle of Lewisburg" which wasn't heard of very much as it was just prior to the end of the war..
Here's my photo you'll find on the above link........taken at the Civil War Cemetery in Lewisburg, WV......in lower right corner is a "mass grave" in the shape of a "cross" where over 95 folks are buried that died of wounds or diseases while there.....
I had never done any traveling West of the Mississippi until I started doing some traveling in my motorhome after retirement........couldn't believe the great expanses that are still viewable out there in the West, just amazing and tell everyone you just have to go there to experience it.....I loved every minute traveling there.......and, yes, you'll have to travel to the East....at least you'll be able to see more "greenery" over here......
Lewisburg was a fed win wasn't it? And both Manasses (Bullrun) were confederate wins, I believe. It's getting harder to remember these days. You're lucky to have those so close to see. The Civil War MADE us who we are, the good & the bad, but the Civil War was what shaped us into what we are.
Quebec looks beautiful. I suspect the winter cold is as extreme as our summer heat here. But would definately enjoy all the trees & lakes. Good fishing everywhere you go, huh?

Yes, Lewisburg was a win by the Union.....I had to read info. from these sites to pin it down....I actually hadn't done it before........
And, yes, there is great fishing in West Virginia and Virginia.........Here's a couple photos of the "Greenbrier River" mentioned in the articles.
