Hey all!

New to the forum and sort of new to NC. Moved down here from NJ last November. I'm still trying to learn my way around the Charlotte/Concord area and still looking for a full time job, as I'm sure many are.

I moved from MD to SC, off exit 88 on I77s. I love Charlotte its a beautiful city, one thing that does get annoying are the one way roads....

I am a JF member. I'm sure there are jobs, but I've been here since last November, and the best I could come up with is working retail in the mall. It's pretty disheartening when I have over 16 years of office administration experience and that's the best I can do. Monster and Careerbuilder suck, and Craigslist is full of scams. Any suggestions?

I haven't really encountered the one way roads, and if I did, I probably didn't notice them much, since I'm so used to it being that way in NYC. I will actually be seeing a different part of Charlotte next weekend though, my fiance has an art gallery thing in the NODA section. I hear it is pretty cool over there, so I can't wait to check it out.

MM Not sure how you do with sales, or on the phone all day long, but Allstate is getting ready to start up another training class.
Full time, benefits are solid, one weekend and one weekday off.
22 PTO days after your first year.
It pays the bills at least.

Hey MissMurder! I believe I have seen ya on JF :). Sorry to hear about your job situation.. I hope you are able to find something. I would just keep searching the newspaper.

No link for it, but you can use allstate.com I believe.
Also if you know where McCullough drive is, you can just come by and apply in person at the office.

Hey there all

I'm currently living in KS, but DESPERATELY trying to get out of here!! We want to relocate to the Carolinas, North preferably, but are open to either state. Kansas was a 3-5 year stop on our way there, and we just finished up year 5.

Would be happy to network for jobs, if you're able. I'd like to have one before we pack up.

Thanks all.
