Hurricanes, Durham Bulls, three ACC colleges, this is a great place to be a sports fan!

Cities with good taste in beer, farms with good taste in wine, trails for hiking, rivers for paddling, not too far from mountains or beaches, incredible access to quality food, multiple universities and colleges, diverse and varied perspectives... there are lots of good things about the triangle.

+1 for growing breweries and College Sports, great Raleigh Farmers Market, growing restraunt scene, DPAC is getting some great shows, Franklin Street/Raleigh are fun places to go out to bars and now in Durham of all places! Used to not go into downtown area at night doing less than 40 or if it was a Bulls game with thousands of other people around.

Definitely the location between the beach and the mountains. Love going to both. That and tailgating in the fall at Carter-Finley!

Nice central location in the state. New breweries are constantly popping up, tons of college sports action year-round, and equal distance from the ocean & the mountains. The cost of living is also very reasonalble compared to other large cities. There are tons of disc & ball golf locations in the area as well.
