Some really nice work. Did you do the work or contract it out?

We (my brother and I) did the electrical repair and mods, did some of the structural repair and mods but subcontracted the rest of the work out. When my brother and I were younger (1980's) we did most of the work on these houses ourselves but now we both are in our 50's and can't do high production work anymore. Also, we both own small seperate companies ourselves and have to run them. For the most part, these days, we just find them and flip them in 6 weeks or less. It's getting very hard to find these houses to fix and sell now and we are considering buying a couple of 1/2 acre lots and building new spec houses in the hills around here. Wouldn't be doing this but we got sick and tired of the lousy returns on our investments in bonds, stocks, and in the banks.

I am also in the same boat where a chunk of money is making only .65% interest. Unfortunately, I've already missed the boat with more home purchases in So Cal.
