My FIL does that. It's late...

She goes down at the same time every night.

We did the cry out method when she was first getting used to a bedtime and it worked great, after a while. Then she started the "I'm not tired.", we've dealt with it by putting her in bed with her books. She "reads" for 10 minutes then goes down no issues.


So far so good...

My 2 grand-kids have a bath at 8 and then they go to bed for 8:30 for the 3 year old and then 9 for the 5 year old, they are for the most part pretty good with that. The odd time they will get up later but not too often. This has been their routine since day one.

Her official bedtime is now 9 but she goes to bed for reading at 8:45. It's working well, she's only mildly complaining.
