I didn't say it, just being circulated in another e-mail......for your perusal!......

Quote:

A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality
that they imagine that America can suffer defeat without
any inconvenience to themselves..

Pause a moment, reflect back.
These events are actual events from history..
They really happened!!!
Do you remember?

1. In1968, Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed
by a Muslim male extremist.

2. In 1972 at the Munich Olympics,
athletes were kidnapped and massacred
by Muslim male extremists.

3. In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over
by Muslim male extremists.

4. During the 1980's a number of Americans
were kidnapped in Lebanon
by Muslim male extremists.

5. In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up
by Muslim male extremists.

6. In 1985, the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked
and a 70 year old American passenger was murdered
and thrown overboard in his wheelchair
by Muslim male extremists.

7. In 1985, TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens, and a
US Navy diver trying to rescue passengers was murdered
by Muslim male extremists.

8. In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed
by Muslim male extremists.

9. In 1993, the World Trade Center was bombed the first time
by Muslim male extremists.

10. In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed
by Muslim male extremists.

11. On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked; two were used as missiles
to take down the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two,
one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was diverted and
crashed by the passengers. Thousands of people were killed.
by Muslim male extremists.

12. In 2002, the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against
Muslim male extremists.

13. In 2002, reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and murdered by---
you guessed it---
Muslim male extremists.

No, I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you?
So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly
fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no
longer be allowed to profile certain people...
Absolutely No Profiling!

They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women,
little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents
who are members of the President's security detail,
85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor
winner and former Governor Joe Foss,
but leave Muslim Males alone lest they be guilty of profiling.

Have the American People completely lost their Minds,
or just their Power of Reason???

Let's send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Aldreds
and other stupid attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to
thwart common sense, feel ashamed of themselves -- if they have any such sense.

As the writer of the award winning story 'Forrest Gump' so aptly put it,
'Stupid Is As Stupid Does'

Each opportunity that you have to send it to a friend or media outlet ...do it!

First off, grow a backbone. You reposted the e-mail. Whether you originated it or not is irrelevant. Whether you were the first to say it or not is irrelevant. You DID say it.

Second, this is a classic example of cherry picking and confirmation bias:

Confirmation bias - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Provisional Irish Republican Army, for example, was responsible for 1824 deaths between the late 1960's and 2001. Timothy McVeigh killed 168 people in Oklahoma. The Earth Liberation Front has conducted hundreds of bombings and arsons. Yet these events, and hundred of others that don't support your "pattern", aren't listed in your e-mail.

To the best of my knowledge, the IRA is not Muslim so why would they be included? McVeigh was not a sovereign nation, formal religion or did he declare to convert, enslave or kill all infidels.

If all the events on the e-mail list would of been done by a Jewish fanatical group would you still feel the same way?

I'm walking down the street. A cop sees nothing but that I am a white male. He stops and questions me. Is he justified? Given nothing but that information, of course not.

If that cop had just read a list of 100 serial killers, people who had been cherry picked because they were white and male, would he now be justified in stopping me? Given nothing but that information, OF COURSE NOT.

The purpose of the email was to justify profiling muslim males. "Profiling" means to alter the basic legal presumption of innocence based not on suspicion of criminal activity, but on things like gender and creed.

The email seemed to suggest that male Muslims are the only ones who have committed terrorist attacks. They aren't. Not by a long shot.

YES. If they had all been conducted by Asian laundromat owners, I'd feel the same way. If they had all been conducted by Amish carpenters, I'd feel the same way. If they had all been conducted by female Swedish volleyball players, I'd feel the same. If they had all been conducted by black males wearing their pants around their ankles, I'd feel the same way.

The problem is not the group that is being maligned. The problem is the absurdly flawed method that is being used to malign the group.

Defense department agrees to allow Muslim cadets to wear hijabs – The Religion World – Orlando Sentinel

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) announced today that the Department of Defense will begin allowing Muslim and Sikh students who wear an Islamic head scarf (hijab) or a turban to participate in the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC).

“We welcome the fact that Muslim and Sikh students nationwide will now be able to participate fully in JROTC leadership activities while maintaining their religious beliefs and practices,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad.

In October, the Washington-based Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization wrote to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta after a 14-year-old Muslim student at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tenn., was forced to transfer out of a JROTC class when her commanding officers told her she could not wear hijab while marching in the September homecoming parade.

CAIR requested constitutionally-protected religious accommodations for the girl and for future Muslim JROTC participants.

In a Dec. 19 letter sent to CAIR, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army Larry Stubblefield wrote:

”I have been asked to respond on behalf of the Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta to your October 13, 2011 letter concerning Miss Demin Zawity’s request to wear a religious head covering (hijab) while participating in an Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) event at Ravenwood High School.

“Based on your concerns, the Army has reviewed its JROTC uniform policy and will develop appropriate procedures to provide Cadets the opportunity to request the wear of religious head dress, such as the turban and hijab. This change will allow Miss Zawity and other students the chance to fully participate in the JROTC program. Additionally, a representative from the U.S. Army Cadet Command will contact Miss Zawity and provide her the opportunity to rejoin the Ravenwood High School JROTC unit.

“The Army prides itself in being a diverse organization, comprised of individuals from many faiths and religions. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.”
