I really enjoyed Book Binders the last time I went (although that was a few years ago). Sam Miller's in the Slip used to be decent but the last time I went (last summer) it was not up to par.

I work right by Sam Miller's and it's damn near empty every time I go by it.

Is there even a Book Binder's in Richmond anymore? The one near Chesterfield Town Center closed like 2 years ago and has been like 2 different places since then.

The webpage for the one downtown is still active. I'll have to take a look next time I'm down there. It wasn't cheap but it was fantastic food.

Book Binders in my opinion is BY FAR the best all around eatery in the city... the food is amazing, the service is excellent, and since i have a childhood friend that is an assistant chef there i know from him and my own eyes that the kitchen is just as clean as the dining room (which to me is a big deal; normally you go in to a "nice" eatery that looks good from your seat but the kitchen is horrendous)... ive been there a couple of times (the pricing is quite fair but still over my budget most of the time) and each time it seems nicer.
