We put in for X1 and G1.
Got neither, so went up to B5.
Lottsa does, very few spike bucks.
We need a doe season and well as an open season on mt. lions.
Deer tracks make for really weak soup.

spent all last week at Anderson Flat. saw deer mon & tues none since. the ca dfg was asked why we start our deer season so early, her reply was so more people have a chance to hunt. I dont see the connection. It seems to me that if hunters had a better
chance of scoring a deer the deer tag sales would go up. I believe our season should start a month later and continue till last weekend of Nov. also trying to start a san jauquin valley area thread. Steve... or maybe a modesto area since all three of us are from here. used to live there and still work there.

Guys,

Come hunt in Texas....there are some places where the homeowners have to chase the deer off the lawns....and the wild hogs.....Texas has declared open season year round and if you know a land owner that wants them gone you don't even need a Texas hunting license, just his permission....gonna be a busy season starting Nov 6

I was thinking about making a trip out that way sometime for hog.
I saw one ranch that was $150 for that included lodging. Here for a guided hunt it's upwards of $600.
