Try the Railroad Museum in Old Sac. After that, wander around, there are plenty of places to eat or get an adult beverage.

Hmm... in no particular order:

The American River

Old Town Sacramento

The Music Circus

Sutter's Fort

The State Capital (go to the Rotunda around Christmas...it's beautiful)

The Jazz Jubilee

Rivercat's games

Kings games

The Crocker Art museum

Just a few of my favorites!

If you are into Hockey you can head over to San Jose and watch a Sharks game. Its only about 2.5 hours away!

If you go east a little more there is:

-Folsom Lake
-Fish Hatchery
-Granite Arch Rock Climbing
-RPM Go Kart Racing
-Lake Natomas (has a really nice paved bike trail around it)

Old Sac is a nice place to kill some time, bit of a tourist 'trap', wish they would change that to make it more of a local thing
