Business Start

So, I'm thinking of starting to consult on the side. I've been working in the IT world for years and wondering what kind of needs there might be out there and what kind of services, e.g., in-home help, remote desktop help, small business network help, etc.

Because the economy is so bad, I'm trying to get an idea if it would be worth it right now to test the waters.

Any thoughts out there?

I've been doing IT for 40 years. There is a large need for support due to Microsoft's
B.S. The average person doesn't have a clue how to keep junk off his PC, backup his
system, use the basic software, or select hardware. Gamers are good sources of
income for hardware upgrades. I make $40 an hour for basic PC support. Do not
under-charge for your efforts.
