Visiting San Antonio in April

I'll be in San Antonio the last week of April (27-30) for my son's graduation from basic training. It's been YEARS since I was there (1990) and wanted to get a few ideas of places to go or things to see in San Antonio while there. Places to eat would be great. I know we'll be down by the river walk area at least one day but not sure of the rest of the time. he'll be able to leave base friday and saturday and we want to make the most of it.
