For a taco shop my favorite has to be JV's Taco shop on Morena Blvd.......right down the street from HomebrewMart

Ah yes taco shops! My favorite has been El Compadre in El Cajon on 2nd st near the 8 freeway. Very good carne asada and shredded beef and their hot sauce is excelent!

When I was stationed there there was a small Italian restaurant in Little Italy region called Felipe's.

you can eat and drink a whole bottle of wine and then stumble 2 blocks to the trolley to get home.

I really miss that place. They also had a little grocery store right up front that was quite authentic.

We ate there all the time as kids. always good food. It was called Felipe's pizza grotto, so we called it the pizza ghetto as kids.
