The Armenian Cafe in Carlsbad; its on the 101.
Their garlic dip/ sauce on the side of the kabobs is unlike any other I've ever had; different, and very good.

Alforon on El Cajon Blvd just west of College Ave. Real homestyle Lebanese food, all made fresh, It's a small place, full of friendliness and flavor. Alforon is Lebanese for "the oven." Reasonable prices and great food.

I'll have to try that. My best friend when I was a kid is Lebanese and I miss the food.

I'll second the recommendation for Jeong Won. It's a little hard to find because it's not on a major street like Convoy.... There's another Korean restaurant on Convoy that's pretty good too, and there's a Pho restaurant in the same shopping center that's good.... Jasmine's Dim Sum up the street is pretty good too..... Lotus Thai in Hillcrest is a great Thai restaurant.

I also recommend Point Loma Seafoods for a good lunch. McCormick & Schmick's at the Gas Lamp is good for seafood too.

Suite and Tender at the Se Hotel on 5th at the Gas Lamp District is great for a fancier/romantic meal.

i love phillipi's in little italy. been going there forever, it never gets old. love the little mexican places around old town but my favorite is up in solana beach. it's on valley road just a few blocks north of del mar race track, called Don Chuys. back in the day it was called The Market. the old man passed a while back and his granddaughter runs it now. she renamed it after him she says.

Just noticed that. For years it's been a typical taco shop that specialized in seafood but it looks like they remodeled and went upscale.

Since we're in PB, you can never go wrong at Cass St Bar and Grill. The food is always top notch and the seafood gumbo is especially good.

Rio Del Gato in the gaslamp.
Awesome food, all inclusive price and a more than u dream of salad bar.
Main course of over 12 red meats delivered to your table on huge skewers
your server then cuts off whatever you choose, with more to come.
As many times as you want. Enjoy, Cheers!
