New Football Stadium, or Convention Center Expansion?

Two big projects that are on the table which will inevitably benefit the city of San Diego.

Which do you think would be a better choice of investment?

I think they both will help the city in the long run, but my employment being what it is, I'm leaning a bit towards the convention center.

From what I understand, for the convention center at least, is most of the funds would be coming from Hotel Taxes.

I don't have the source handy, but I heard somewhere that out recreation taxes are not nearly as high as other desired destinations.

This is unfortunate. Basically the cost of constructing these behemoths will rest on the backs of travelers. I live in LA County, and we have two billionaires who want to built stadiums with no costs at all to the visitors or taxpayers. This is how it should be done. Of course, when you visit their stadiums, they keep the money.
