House of Prime on top of the list. Ruth is always great, but way too pricey.

With out a doubt mine, I don't have to leave the house, can leasurly snack on shrimp cocktail ($5/lb), drink a bottle of merlot while cooking, cook up some of the best baked potato known to mankind, have some slipper tail for an appitiser all for about $50 bucks, then have the leftovers the next day.

Have not been to HOPR in many years, it sounds like it's as good now as it was say 10-15 years ago. Might have to take SWAMBO for our 18th anniversary.

House of Prime Rib is the place to go for some Prime Rib. Whenever I go, I always get the King Henry, and power down the seconds. Also, HOPR has the best manhattan in town. It comes with a shaker like a milkshake (seconds), and has hints of vanilla.

When I don't want to break the bank I go to Izzy's up in the Marina. The sides of potatoes that they have are pretty rad.

Trancas Steak House in Napa has a sign outside "Best Prime Rib in the World"
I haven't tried it there, nor will I go to a place with a vinyl sign proclaiming what they have to be better than all others. Try Cole's Chop house in Napa.

Visited San Fran over Thanksgiving break and the House of Prime Rib was delicious. Best prime rib I've ever had.

Definitely the HOPR! It's like the 50's stands still inside.

Houston's was a good place but gone now.
