Best Spots to Boat Camp?

I have a small 12' motor boat and a 20' kayak and looking for good places to take either of them for a unique 1-2 night trip.

Motor boat only goes about 20 mph fully loaded, and can't really handle choppy areas, but the kayak can take some abuse.

Any ideas?

Lake Almanor - a little cold this time of year, but beautiful during the summer.

It's a bit of a trek, but Shasta is pretty nice and calm. There are so many fingers, you can easily get lost and keep away from most of the big wakes. There are often a lot of bald eagles too if you're into birding.

Lake Sonoma for sure. No buildings within site of the water and ton's of open camp sites this time of the year. Only one marina/place on the entire lake, so get gas and beer before you head out. It has 109 primitive boat in hike in only camping sites.

Lake Alpine off highway 4 is a small but awesome lake with campgrounds right next to the lake. I went there last summer and was totally impressed.
