Best Burger in SM

Grins is ok. 'cause my boy poppa works there.

But the best burger is either Tap Room...Or probably Centerpoint Station...Infact when it comes to Burgers and skakes,,,,centerpoint wins hands down...

Monkey did you have a party on the river a couple of weekends ago and not invite all your 78666.com friends?????

Grin's is a sentimental favorite, it was also the first place I ate in SM. Have to try out that Centerpoint Station soon. Right A-2?

centerpoint station has some awesome burgers, i think its the fresh homemade bread they use, frings are also great side for the burger, and dont forget for dessert try a cinnamon roll. mmmmmmmm

Tap room has the best burger if you have the time, otherwise I say either Valentino's. If you're in a hurry go Whataburger, Sonic or Wendy's.

By far - Tap Room: Burger & a Beer for $5 on Thursday's.... GO!!

TAP ROOM QUESO BURGER IS INCREDIBLE. FEW CAN HOLD A CANDLE TO THAT BURGER. HILL COUNTRY GRILL ALSO HAS AN EXCELLENT BURGER. GO AT LUNCH SO THE MEAL WILL AVERAGE $6-7 BUCKS WITH A SALAD OR SIDE. THOSE TWO DWARF ALL OTHER BURGERS SERVED IN TOWN. THERE ARE OTHER GOOD BURGER PLACES, BUT , FOR EXAMPLE, CENTERPOINT STATION IS ONE OF THE MOST OVERPRICED TOURIST GOUGING PLACES IN SAN MARCOS. GOOD FOOD BUT SIMPLY NOT WORTH IT.

i think that center point used to be alot better before they expnaded and moved to the bigger kitchen. i dont know why but it juyst seems to me that the burgers where better when it was a small scale opartion with the little kitchen that was upfront behind the counter. im not saying that they are bad, i just dont think they are worth the expense or hassle.

My vote definatly goes to the Tap Room. great food, and beer. cant beat it.

Tap Room gets my vote too, when it isn't too crowded to get a table, that is. Ask for malt vinegar for your fries too. Mmmmm.

But, I would be remiss if I did not say, again, that I miss Wesray's. Them were some damn fine burgers.

I like Centerpoint too. Coming from the northeast originally and with family in California, nothingaround here seems overpriced to me. If it isn't tourist season, Centerpoint is a nice place to get a burger and a shake. My food has always been very good there.
