Father's Day Dinner Ideas?

I am looking for ideas for Father's Day dinner. I am an exceptional cook, but I have just moved and half of my house is still boxed up. I'd like to find a place to take my boyfriend for Father's Day since my house is a disaster right now.

Any ideas? I'm open to all kinds of food. Doesn't have to be exceptionally nice since he didn't even REMEMBER Mother's Day. Pfft. Jerk. lol

Anywho... Somewhere in South ATX, SMTX, or North SA Town.

kgo!

If N. SA Town is San Antonio I found this;

Best Romantic

The best Romantic Restaurants.

Gristmill Restaurant
Jerusalem Grill
Boudro's on the Riverwalk
Dough Pizzeria Napoletana
Moroccan Bites
Silo Elevated Cuisine...
Fralo's Art of Pizza
Huisache Grill & Wine Bar
Roaring Fork
Oregano's Pizza

Too many pizza joints for my idea of romantic but getting bitten by Moroccans might be fun.....

Past it's prime but worth a peek:
(From June 2011) This venerable north-east-sider offers plenty of specialties in the French idiom, but at the moment, the prix fixe dinners stand out for both value and accomplishment. Among the offerings are appetizers of smoked salmon (served with capers, toast, and crackers) and silky truffled pâté, itself worth a visit. Both the beef Wellington and the rack of lamb proved to be tender, flavorful standouts, especially if you skip the mint jelly with the latter and ask for the port sauce in-stead. Crumpets, with its big, high-ceilinged dining room looking out over a bosky glade, is enjoying a high point. If you haven?€™t been in several years, this would be the time to try it again.

Blucher. You're hilarious and I always look forward to what you have to say on here.

I'll check those places out. We'll probably go out Tonight or Saturday night. I gotta go see MY dad on Father's Day!

He doesn't deserve a dinner, though. I had to buy my own Mother's Day gift... new tires for my beast! lol

Moroccans can't bite too hard, can they?

I'd look for the toothless ones

crumpets has a patio that looks quite nice for an evening dinner.

I'll confess a bit of confusion at least on my own part about celebrating Mother's Day with someone who became a mom well before I met her. I wished my Argentine friend Happy Mom Day but they celebrate it on a different date. My experience has often been that motherhood also involved some jerk she now detests. (definite gray area)

Still trying to wrap my mind around what a breakfast taco might contain. Ham & eggs? Captain Crunch & Chile peppers? <shudder>

I learned to cook early for two reasons. Mom was probably the worst cook in Minnesota. A cobbler could have made shoes out her calves liver. The second reason is I'm attracted to women who are not attracted to stove tops.
True to form my latest romantic interest will produce arroz con tuna if the request comes from her daughter. I have sent two smoke detectors to Argentina in an effort to preserve the daughter's life and one found work in it's first week on the job.

How much money do you want to spend? Based on that I can give you plenty of recommendations.

Usually breakfast sausage, home fires, eggs, cheese, it's just a normal breakfast in a more portable form.

Good thing you sent 2.

We went to Kobe Steak House. Kept it close to home. My bf had never been to a Hibachi grill or anything similar. It was a nice experience. :]

Taking my dad and step mom for messican food for Father's Day.

Sounds like fun. Was it expensive?
